I'd rather be in the studio: The Artist's No-Excuse Guide to Self-promotion by Alyson Stanfield

Alyson Stanfield’s book about marketing for artists is an unbeatable guide to putting your creative work out there.  Both myself and my illustrator husband David Lewis have benefitted enormously from Alyson’s advice and inspiration.  ‘I’d rather be in the studio’ is aimed primarily at visual artists and is the essential guide for any artist who wants to get their work out there and attract buyers.  Alyson is a whizz at social media and blogging and the book contains invaluable advice on online promotion, much of which is applicable to writers too.

Alyson has spent a decade working to help artists promote themselves and this is a key book for artists who want to have a broad audience and run a profitable business.  I have attended Alyson’s ‘Get Organized’ course and it made a huge difference in my organizational skills.  You can also sign up for the Artbiz Coach newsletter here.
