Tatiana’s Oxford Success

Congratulations to Tatiana Handfield on her acceptance onto the Undergraduate Diploma Programme in Creative Writing at Oxford University!

We are delighted to share the news that former Writing Coach member Tatiana has been accepted onto this prestigious course at Oxford University. Tatiana first joined us during one of our popular Challenge Weeks and went on to join our Literary Community and take part in our bespoke writing courses.

She writes:

I was instantly captivated by Jacqui’s unique drive to build a wholesome community for writers
and begun my journey with the Writing Coach through the “Commit to Your Brilliant Book” five
day writing challenge. For years I had contemplated on starting my first novel but continuously
pushed it away in lieu of professional and other commitments. I decided that year, 2023, would
be my year of writing. And writing most certainly captivated my time. From starting the challenge
at the beginning of the year to joining the Mastermind and Literary Community, my writing
evolved to new standards. Writing can be a lonely journey at times but being a part of The
Writing Coach’s programs have definitely invited me to a community which merits extend
globally.

As my writing expanded, in October 2023 I began the journey of working on my first YA novel as
a part of The Ten, a wonderful program organized by The Writing Coach (Jacqui Lofthouse)
where I had the immense pleasure of learning alongside nine other phenomenal writers. I had
no idea where the story would take me or the trials and triumphs of the process. Along the way
my characters transformed into more than words on the page, their world became immersive
and each day I invested in writing their adventures was a gift.“
