Writer and Freelance Journalist
Whilst a previous career as a litigation lawyer in the City gave Emma plenty of skills, it also killed her soul. After taking some time out to raise a family, she decided to pursue her original love of writing to become a freelance journalist which is how she came across The Writing Coach. Her goal was to see if she could get just one article published in a national newspaper to prove to herself she could do it. She worked with Glynis Kozma to hone her craft and her first piece was published in The Telegraph. Since then, she’s written many more pieces across a wide range of topics for The Telegraph, Metro, the i paper and Psychologies Magazine and has many more publications to crack on her list. She’s also been involved with the Lichfield Literature Festival where she’s interviewed Justin Webb, Jo Browning-Wroe, Sarah Sands and Paterson Joseph. She’s also working (far too slowly) on the first draft of a book.
