Nikki writes as both Nikki Moore (contemporary romance) and Ella Allbright (commercial women’s fiction), primarily for HarperCollins. In 2010, her short story A Night to Remember – judged by bestselling novelist Katie Fforde – was shortlisted in the Romantic Novelists’ Association Elizabeth Goudge Trophy and this was later published in the bestselling RNA/Mills & Boon anthology Truly, Madly, Deeply. Her debut romance was an RNA Joan Hessayon Award finalist in 2015. This was followed by five novellas and a novel in the popular LoveLondon rom-com series, one of which Valentine’s on Primrose Hill was a finalist in the Love Stories awards 2015.
The Last Charm was released during the 2020 lockdowns but was a commercial success and attracted high reader ratings. More recently, Nikki placed 3rd in the Elizabeth Goudge Trophy 2024 with a novel opening, and signed with a new literary agent in December. She is a long standing member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association and has been a manuscript reader for the New Writers’ Scheme for the last nine years, and is passionate about supporting other authors and demystifying the publishing industry for them. She has extensively delivered training and provided coaching to people through her day job, having worked in Human Resources for the last twenty-three years.
